SEMARANG-Humas Jaringan Sekolah Islam Terpadu (JSIT) Indonesia Pusat, Eko Febriyanto, M.IKom menyampaikan bahwa keunggulan sekolah harus dijadikan sebagai bahan school branding bagi Sekolah Islam Terpadu (SIT) di Jawa Tengah.
Hal itu disampaikan saat Pelatihan Kehumasan dan School Branding yang diselenggarakan oleh Bidang Humas JSIT Indonesia Wilayah Jawa Tengah, Jumat-Sabtu, 10-11/03 bertempat di Balai Besar Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan Jawa Tengah, Jl. Kyai Mojo, Srondol Kulon, Kota Semarang.
“Program unggulan sekolah, program yang memiliki diferensiasi daya pembeda dari sekolah lainnya, kualitas lulusan, prestasi siswa guru sekolah harusnya dijadikan sebagai bahan school branding, oleh Sekolah Islam Terpadu yang ada di Jawa Tengah, bahkan di Indonesia,” ungkap Eko.
Termasuk adanya relasi jejaring kerja sama dengan sekolah maupun kampus di luar negeri, sepertinya menjadi daya tarik tersendiri.
Lanjut Eko, adanya school branding akan memberikan effort kepada warga sekolah, baik guru wartawan, murid, orang tua/wali murid, yayasan, maupun pihak lainnya, untuk bergotong-royong menjaga dan meningkatkan prestasi sekolah.
Ketika citra baik sekolah dan bukti nyata prestasi sekolah telah didapat, maka trust kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap sekolah atau lembaga dengan sendirinya akan terbangun dan melekat.
Eko menjelaskan, kepuasan masyarakat terhadap kualitas layanan pendidikan maupun kualitas lulusan pendidikan, akan menjadi bola salju kehumasan. Orang tua murid, alumni, akan menjadi humas sekolah dengan gethok tular kepada saudara, tetangga, maupun teman-temannya.
“Mereka akan menyampaikan kebaikan-kebaikan dan keunggulan sekolah kepada orang lain. Mereka melakukan itu dengan tulus, karena telah mendapatkan bukti dari layanan maupun program sekolah,” pungkasnya. []
